Parent & Family Support
At Tend, parent and family support is about slowing down and paying attention to connection, to patterns, to the emotional undercurrents that move through family life. Support isn’t about fixing families or getting things “right.” It’s about creating space for understanding, repair, and growth, wherever you are in your family’s story.

When a child is participating in play therapy, parents are often holding many things at once—hope, worry, curiosity, and the quiet wondering of what might unfold. As children explore their inner worlds through play, we stay connected through regular, gentle check-ins: spaces to share observations, wonder together, and reflect on what may be taking root for your child and your family. These conversations are an important part of the therapeutic process, nurturing connection, supporting moments of repair, and helping caregivers feel informed, supported, and steadier as growth unfolds in its own time.

Individual therapy offers caregivers and family members a space that is just for you—a place to pause, listen inward, and gently explore what lives beneath the surface of daily responsibilities. This work may include processing pregnancy and postpartum experiences, navigating the emotional weight and identity shifts of caregiving, moving through grief, anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection, and making sense of your own story. As you reconnect with your own sense of self, you may find yourself able to show up with greater presence and compassion in the relationships that matter most.
